Hello!
It's been quite a while, hasn't it? For that, I apologise. I owe you an explanation.
See, it's been quite a busy time in the Ferrari household since my last newsletter. A couple of weeks after The Dying of the Light: With Time to Kill Book Two launched (back in May, which feels like a lifetime ago) my wife and I welcomed our wonderful baby girl to the world. That meant I became a father for the first time at the age of forty (!)
Since then, I've been trying to learn how to be a dad – a job I don't think will ever be done – and, in between times, I've finished writing the final instalment of the With Time to Kill series. It's called The Last Trip for Goodand it's available for pre-order on Kindle (click the title if you want to pre-order it). Paperback should go live the same day as the Kindle does – December 16th.
Because you have signed up to my mailing list, you can access some sample chapters here.
I'm really happy with it, and I hope you will be, too.
I've also started a new project, which I'm excited about. I posted an article about it on my website (check it out here) and I'll update you more next time.
In the background, I've been re-reading Stephen King's Dark Tower series – part fantasy, part Western, a strange combo, but it works. It's a meaty old thing, and it's taken me a while – what with the recent changes to my life, and all! – but I'm on the final stretch, with only 200 or so pages of the final book (book seven!!) left. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading it again – it remains my favourite ever series. Check it out if it sounds like your thing.
That's it from me – time to return to dad duties!
I won't leave it so long until next time, I promise.
All the very best,
Frank
